IT'S A.....

The Gender Reveal party!

12:OO PM - Getting ready for the party:
We made some pink lemonade and wild berry blue drinks.  Andy made a baby carriage out of a baby water melon.  Made HE/SHE Hershey's as favors.  It rained earlier in the morning but so far the weather was nice.

12:40 PM - We arrive at the park and start setting up.  We then realized there was a sign that said the Gazebo was reserved from 1:30 PM - 3:00 PM .  We had told everyone to be there around 1:00 PM!  We didn't reserve the Gazebo because we didn't think we would be there that long and it was $60.
We could just move to another set of tables, right?  Wrong!

12:45 PM - It starts pouring rain!  It's Washington remember?!

1:00 PM - People start showing up and we haven't set up anything wondering what we were going to do.

1:15 PM - Enough people were there and we decided to get it started regardless.  So we set up in like 2 minutes and ask everyone to vote if it's a boy or a girl and divided them into groups.
Team:  Boy

Team: Girl

1:20 PM - THE BIG REVEAL.  (A couple days back we handed over an envelope to a sister at our hall, that contained the blood test results of our baby.  She then made homemade chocolate cupcakes with blue or pink candy inside. She was the only one that knew what we were having.)  We got our cupcakes, bit into them and saw we are having a ....

BOY!

1:28 PM - The next party was coming so we packed up and went home.

The 14th week

Well, today marks my 14th week of preganacy. There has been a lot of ups and downs on my morning sickness but I'm just now starting to get over it.  And when they say morning sickness, it wasn't just in the mornings. It sometimes would last all day, every day. Hopefully it will get better from here on out.
Bellow is a picture of my growing tummy!

P.S.  We will be finding out the gender of the baby this Saturday so we will keep you posted.

Baby's First Camping Trip

Baby's first 4 day 3 night camping trip by Lake Kachess, near Snoqualmie Pass in Washington.
It was so beautiful even though it rained off and on for the first 2 nights.
About 20 of the friends from our hall ended up camping with us.  We had a blast!

This technically was Andy's first time "real" camping too.  He put up the tent with a little help from a friend right before the first sprinkle of rain.  We borrowed this tent from some friends that weren't going to make it.  It was pretty spacious and comfortable.  We used an inflatable bed instead of sleeping on the floor.

Here I am cooking breakfast near the fire pit, egg and chorizo with corn tortillas.

When the rain finally let up, Andy and I went fishing with a friend on his canoe on the lake.
We were out for about a couple of hours.  It was so relaxing and peaceful fishing in such a beautiful area.  I fished the first fish but it got away when it hit the boat.   But then Andy caught his first fish (Rainbow Trout).  Once we arrived back to camp we fried it with butter and garlic over the fire pit and it was delicious!

This is a picture of the Rainbow Trout still alive...

This is a picture of the fish after Andy cleaned the fish ready to be cooked.

Yummmmy!

Oh! And did I mention we had s'mores about 2 to 3 times a day!
Well almost that many.
Who can resist?
Not the baby!
