CLASS OF 2014!
What a rush! With the new book and new schedule we were so stoked. We had lots more studying then the first time around. But we loved it and enjoyed every moment. Of course it was a bit of a challenge for me since I haven't been getting good sleep due to back/hip pains. So there was a couple of days I had to sit in the back to put my feet up. But everyone was so loving and understanding. Baby Boca was considered the little future pioneer that was a part of this class.
But of course like every class, it's not just about the instruction, studying, association and interchange of encouragement.... It's also about the FOOD! (Can you tell I'm pregnant?) What was cool about the meals is that each day had a theme according to a culture. But not only that, some of the food was made from friends that were FROM those places. For example, one day we had Romanian food from the Romanian Congregation. Also, Chinese food from the Chinese Group, etc. We also had Mediterranean, Mexican, Italian, American cuisines. All was sooo delicious.
Below: Romanian food (stuffed peppers, tomato and olive salad, potato soup...)
Below: Mexican food (carnitas cut up and served individually)
One of the desserts (lemon pudding cups with a blueberry & a heart shaped cookie)
Assigned seating at the hall (can you find me?)
Last day gifts for the instructors (funny balloons)
Bow Tie boys
Andy and I were so happy that we got to attend this school before the baby came. We have learned so much on how to better our relationship with Jehovah as well as with others. Serving where the need is great, especially in the foreign language field, was also greatly emphasized. We are prayerfully considering doing this too with baby Boca.
No better time to start!
