5 1/2 Months
(23 weeks)
Another month has passed... Jeriah is growing and we are too, (old that is...) haha
Well, it feels like we are. Especially since every free moment we have is resting and trying to catch up on our beauty sleep (which lasts an hour tops when baby is napping during the day).
Jeriah is now about 20 lbs (haven't confirmed yet, doctor's appointment is in a couple of weeks.) But he feels like a sack of potatoes, sturdy and heavy. He now rolls over from tummy to his back, but haven't seen him roll from back to tummy yet. He doesn't crawl yet but he does scoot in a clock (or counter clock) wise way when doing tummy time.
His 2 bottom front teeth have come in already too! It's been rough on all of us ever since he started teething at 3 months. But they are now here! He is an early bird with this development. But this is nothing unheard of, I was told. I think he likes to feel his new teeth with his tongue because he likes to stick his tongue out a lot. So since he has teeth now, we are thinking of introducing him to "solids" (pureed sweet potato OR avocado, mixed with breast milk). Still haven't decided which. Regardless, Jeriah has been showing that he is ready for actual food. He stares at us while we are eating, watching and following the fork as it pierces the food and then how it travels upwards to our mouth... (So cute when he does that) He also tries to grab hold of our food when close enough to reach.
This past week we had our first airplane ride with baby to Texas. It was nice seeing family and friends again. Oh how we miss everyone. Jeriah did pretty good considering the long day we had coming and going. I would feed him when the plane ascended and descended so that his ears wouldn't hurt too much.
While in Texas, we celebrated our parents wedding anniversary with family portraits. (Andy's parent's have 40 years, and my parent's have 35 years being married, both on the same month of May). Congratulations to all!
(We just couldn't get him to smile. The room was hot and he was hungry and tired...
Bad combination)

So just a quick short story about this trip...
A pioneer sister from California wanted to visit and help us out with our territory in field service at our town of North Bend. So she stayed with us for about a week. One Saturday we made a group to go up to see Mount Rainier, (which is about 3 hours away from were we live).
We wanted to hike up the mountain but it snowed the night before we arrived and so it wasn't safe for us with the baby since it was slippery snow. But on that same mountain, further down there are several waterfalls and a small trail that we walked on in the woods.
So beautiful and awe inspiring indeed. Only enhances Jehovah's magnificence.
Found this old fashion cabin in our walk in the trail
Inside was an old timey wood stove, bed made of wood and table
Only for show not actual house.
This was a natural hot bubbling spring also found along the way of our walk, where a previous old hotel use to be.
