8 Months

8 Months Old

Jeriah is about the same weight, maybe around 21 lbs.  Haven't been to the doctor yet to confirm.  He is really growing up quickly.  His 2 TOP teeth are growing in!  He has been teething big time!  In the begining of August he could sit up on his own and crawl around.  Just recently, this week, he started pulling himself up and stood up! We have a feeling that he will start walking by his 9th month.  Noooo!  We don't know if we can keep up!  

He is also starting to get seperation anxiety when mommy leaves the room.  What I've been doing to help with that is playing peek-a-boo.  Leaving the room then coming back in saying "Here I am!"  He gets so excited and now waits in anticipation. 

We've also been playing diffferent sensory games.  Like feeling how dry beans feel like and sound.  Also, banging a wooden spoon against a tin colander.  He loved that one!

He loves hearing how loud he can make noises, also by yelling different sounds.  This is not good when we go to the meetings.  But usually he sleeps or wants to be with people at the Kingdom Hall.  

We've been enjoying time with the brothers here in Washington.  We just went to a BBQ at a friend's house.  The couple had about 2+ congregations there!  We got to meet new people and of course they wanted to hold Jeriah.  How can they resist that face!  There was outdoor games to play like Volleyball, frizebee golf, and many more.  Also there was a live band all witnesses from a neighboring congregation!  It was a small glimpse of how it will be in the New World. Next week we are going camping near the 2 biggest mountains, Mount Rainer and St Helens. That will be the next post...

Another exciting news is Andy's new job!  He is now going to be working as a Carpenter Apprentice making cabinets at a shop.  His work is nearby with walking distance of about 20 mins.  He loves that since he can get a workout in before and after work.  Which in turn will leave me with the car to go out in field service or just do errands.  His schedule/pay will also help with our future goals to pioneer.  We can't wait!
