9 Months
Jeriah is now confirmed 21 lbs 10 oz, 29 inches tall. He currently has 4 teeth on top and 2 on bottom. We are making plans on seeing the dentist for the first time. (That will be the next post.)
He is standing more and more by pulling himself up on anything he can reach. Which means he is geting into things more and has us on our toes! We started childproofing the house but we still have to do some more of it. At the moment he is not too much interested in toys as he is in what mommy or daddy has. While mommy is cooking, Jeriah loves getting into the drawers and wants to be close.
As you can see, we did not make it camping like we first intended. This month was the first time Jeriah got a cold. Both mommy and Jeriah were sick together. Daddy later joined in. It was not fun at all. Jeriah had trouble breathing due to a stuffy nose so nursing was a challenge. Finally after a week and a doctors visit, we started feeling better. (Although a week later mommy got sick again. Baby is still doing ok thank God).
We have been teaching him hand signs to communicate, like "milk", "prayer", "book", "more"... He is starting to understand them and tries to do it himself sometimes. But his favorite thing he likes to do with his hands is clap! One day while watching his Caleb and Sofia Songs he started clapping! He loves clapping along to songs. He loves hearing what new sounds he can make. Which is why he likes our vent. He strums it like a guitar and it makes music to his ears. He also likes patting on boxes as a drum. We have a musician here!
At our Circuit Assembly he did very good. He slept 1 hour in the morning session and 1 hour in the afternoon session. He got to eat some of our food that we brought for lunch (chicken salad and some yogurt). He was chomping that down, he loved it! Everyone complemented how cute he looked and loved his fedora. Thank you Grandma and Aunty Lizzy! We met new people as well as friends we haven't seen in a while and kids his age. We can't wait to come back and see them grow.
Pretend talk with daddy before the meeting
Got to start them early!
