6 Months
(27 weeks)
Jeriah is still holding at 20 lbs but now is 28"long! He is going to be a tall boy. So much so that he has out grown his infant car seat. So we have switched him to the bigger car seat and gave the other one to a friend that is due soon in August.
He loves music. His favorite is "Love all sorts of people" from JW.org children songs. He is talking a lot (babbling) saying things like "bababa" or "ahhh". He likes to grab everything and put it into his mouth. Everything is a new experience for him. Which I love being there to experience it with him. I have been working from home now and I love it. (Even though its not much hours, and I have to work while Jeriah is napping, which isn't very long sometimes) Any new milestones that he does I try to record for Andy.
One big milestone: Andy put Jeriah down on his play mat and left the room for a few seconds, and came back and he had moved about 8' (from our living room to our dinning chairs). WE HAVE A BABY ON THE MOVE! He crawls now! Well, more like an army crawl where he uses his arms to drag himself forward. He still can't coordinate his legs like he wants, to move more efficiently. But he is getting there.... He reaches for his toys and if he can't get it, he scoots forward until he does. We're so proud of our little boy.
We have also introduced solids (purees) to him mixed with breast milk: Avocado, sweet potato, and banana. (It seems like he doesn't like banana. He makes a sour face every time we gave him a spoonful) He loves sweet potato. We have given him also to chew on: carrot, pear and apple. But he still is mainly breastfeeding.
Oh and he did have his first tantrum. (Not something we are proud of) It just caught us by surprise. We told this to a friend that is a mother too, and she asked, "What did you take away from him?" So funny that it was exactly that. We took the play mat away that he wanted to chew on.
On top of all that, we think he is going through a 6 month regression where he doesn't sleep hardly at night waking almost hourly. That hasn't been fun for us.
We've got our work cut out for us.
Trying avocado as his first solid.
Then sweet potato...
"What's Up Doc?"
Playing on his mat..
Baby Crawling video!
Watching Romeo...
First time out of his infant car seat and now can sit in high chairs!
Waiting for the doctor to arrive.
What a mess!
Below is another beauty that I wanted to include. Snoqualmie Falls looked so beautiful one morning. This was taken by a sister out in service in that area.
Awe inspiring indeed!
